A Different Kind of Beginning

There wasn’t a business plan at the beginning.
There was a shift.

Maui Mana Skincare was born on an island that gives everything—and asks you to stay connected in return. Growing up on Maui, the ocean wasn’t just something I looked at. It was part of how I lived, how I worked, and how I understood care—both for people and for the place we call home.

For years, I worked in mental health, supporting others through some of the hardest moments of their lives. It was meaningful work, but it also showed me something clearly:

People are doing their best to take care of themselves—
but they’re often doing it without clear, trustworthy information.

Back to What’s Real

At some point, I needed to return to something simple.

So I started making skincare the same way I approach care:

  • Intentional
  • Thoughtful
  • Grounded in respect for both body and environment

One product. No shortcuts. Just ingredients I could stand behind—non-toxic, food-grade, organic whenever possible.

At the center of it all was a clear need:

A mineral sunscreen that actually works—
without harming the reef.

Because here, protecting your skin and protecting the ocean are not separate decisions.

How It Grew

That one product became the foundation.

What started as something personal—something grounding—grew naturally:

  • People felt the difference
  • They trusted it
  • Stores began carrying it
  • The line expanded

But the process never changed.

Everything is still made in small batches, by hand, with intention behind every ingredient.

This isn’t mass production.
This is care you can feel.
